Privacy Policy
Summary
Essential Guitar Note Trainer does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app runs on your device. The only network communication is with your device’s app store to offer and verify the optional subscription, and even that does not involve us receiving your personal or payment information.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any other personal data. The app does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Information Stored on Your Device
To save your learning progress between sessions, the app stores the following locally on your device using the operating system’s standard app storage:
- Your training progress (which notes and positions you have practiced, accuracy, and timing data used by the spaced-repetition algorithm)
- Your in-app settings and preferences
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, this data is removed by the operating system.
Subscriptions and Purchases
The full version of the app is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions are processed entirely by the app store you downloaded the app from — the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon Appstore. To show the current price, complete a purchase, restore a previous purchase, and check whether your subscription is currently active, the app communicates with that store’s in-app purchase service.
We do not receive or store your name, payment card details, or billing address. The handling of your payment and account information is governed by the privacy policy of the app store that processes the transaction.
Network Access
Apart from communicating with your device’s app store to offer and verify the subscription as described above, the app does not make network requests. Practicing the fretboard works fully offline, and your subscription status is determined from information already stored on your device when no connection is available.
Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users.
Third Parties
The app does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore; those platforms have their own privacy policies that govern app downloads, purchases, and subscriptions.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same location with a new effective date.
